Qarshi Ghutti

Description

Taḥnīk (تَحْنِيكِ) is an Islamic ceremony of touching the lips of a newborn baby with honey, sweet juice or pressed dates. Originally the date was softened by mastication by the pious person and rubbed on the infant’s palate. In our language it is called Ghutti, The basic concern of Ghuitti to activate the metabolic system through the process of digestion. Ghutti helps the baby to discharge the waste substances easily from its bowels and make them empty. The discharge of faeces redresses the complaints like constipation, stomach-ache, convulsion and colic etc.
